A family story…
It all began with my great-great-grandfather, Tropez. During the war of 1870, while he was in Paris, he had a remarkable encounter: Napoleon III himself!
Upon his return to Ramatuelle, he continued to tell his anecdote, captivating the whole village.
Very quickly, he was nicknamed “The Emperor”.
The nickname passed down through the generations, right up to my grandmother Germaine, who was affectionately called
“the Empress of Ramatuelle”.
It is therefore quite natural that our house today bears the name La Ferme de l'Empereur, in homage to this unique family history.
